Rachel was there to look at the latest Robopod & Benchpod solutions being supplied to DER-IC North East. Mechtech looks forward to seeing them live in action at the DER-IC facility!
About DER-IC North East
Newcastle University is leading the new Driving the Electric Revolution Industrialisation Centres (DER-IC) project following the Government’s announcement last year to invest £33m in a national network of four cutting-edge regional centres. The DER-IC – North East will concentrate on the prototyping, development, scale-up and testing of machines and drives. The centres have access to a network of over £300m of Power Electronic, Machines and Drives equipment. The additional £28.5m investment, which includes Robopod’s equipment, will fill key gaps for manufacturing and quality development.
